A person of his kind is very few nowadays, His speech in Parliament on the Nuclear Deal was historic, where he declared: “I am a Muslim and I am an Indian, and I see no distinction between the two…” His father, Farooq Abdullah, and grandfather, Sheikh Abdullah, have both been chief ministers of Kashmir—Omar is the President of the National Conference. At 29, he became the youngest minister in the 13th Lok Sabha (1999). Married to Payal, and with two sons, Omar remains a keen sportsman—skiing, swimming, squash and tennis. He generally discuss about human values, peace and strategy management to his followers and viewers.
